Summit Coffee | Davidson

Description: Summit Coffee's flagship store in downtown Davidson, North Carolina, this cafe serves coffee roasted locally by Summit, plus in-house baked goods, beer and wine and more.

Comments: Very welcoming atmosphere. Plenty of seating, they have an upstairs area and a lot of outdoor space in addition to the main floor. Davidson is a college town so plenty of students and staff hangout here to study and work.

The aesthetic is down-to-earth, lived in, like a place that's been around for a while. I mean that in a good way, it doesn't have that pristine modern coffee shop vibe that's nice but a little plastic, it feels very homey. I think this might be the original Summit location, so that's why.

They have this birthday cake looking cookie where they put the frosting in the middle and don't spread it around. It's almost like they want you to eat your way to the frosting. It's a good cookie. Also they have a cinnamon roll that they call a "Big Bun". It's light on icing, but it is a cinnamon roll at it's core, so it counts. They have nice tea options in addition to coffee.
