Bagel Boat of Lake Wylie

Comments: This place is cozy. You can actually use that very overused word for this place. Cozy. The main area when you walk in is mostly wooden tables and chairs, but then there are 3 corners to your left with couches, sofas, armchairs, and side tables with lamps on them. So it feels like you’ve just walked into someone’s living room.

The menu here is fantastic. They have all sorts of bagels and really good bagel sandwiches. Like way beyond just a bacon, egg, and cheese on a bagel. They’ll put steak on it, all sorts of sauces, avocado, and whatever else you want. There's also ice cream. But that’s not the most important thing going on here. What is of the utmost importance is that they have cinnamon rolls.

Glorious, marvelous, stupendous cinnamon rolls. They’re thick. Heavy. Weighty. Not the dainty cinnamon rolls you get from some coffee shop that considers them a sideshow. The ones here are a seasoned amber brown, baked well enough to hold form so as to be a landing place for vanilla icing, but not so long that when warmed, they aren’t still tender. I presume they’re made in house. They’re excellent.

There's a bookcase with a good selection of books to choose from. Books are sourced from The Cozy Book Company in Fort Mill, and they take requests. There's a box you can leave a note in for any book you'd like to see on the shelves. The selection is pretty good, and only drives home the fact that you're meant to stay awhile here. Hangout, eat, read a book, chill.
