Description: A retro coffee shop and vinyl listening lounge near NoDa with a cozy, music-first feel and a slower pace than a typical grab-and-go cafe. The space is built for lingering, with records, turntables, lounge seating, and a warm listening-room atmosphere that makes it feel more like a friend’s well-curated living room than a standard coffee counter.
During the day, it works as a relaxed spot for coffee, tea, baked goods, light bites, reading, conversation, or easing into a work session with music in the background. As the concept grows into evening service, the vibe shifts toward a low-key cocktail lounge where guests can settle in, browse records, listen intentionally, and hang out before or after visiting other spots at The Pass.
Comments: If you’ve grown tired of cookie-cutter, industrial-chic coffee shops, with their unfinished floors, hard metal chairs, exposed brick and distressed-wood counters, this is the place for you. It is, in almost every way, the opposite of that.
The room has personality, with a bright, retro 1970s palette, plenty of natural light, bar-style seating, two four-person tables, three two-person tables and an Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman. Plus, a sitting area in the back has a couch and several chairs, which is a great spot to plop down with a group of friends, or read a book.
I don't drink coffee so I can't tell you if it's good or not, but they have all the things. The many kinds of coffee, hot or cold, matcha lattes, herbal teas, and pastries. The real draw here is the music though. They have curated vinyl displays, listening nights, record swaps, and portable Sound Burger record players.
Parking is free, which unfortunately is kind of rare in NoDa. For remote work, it's a good option. Access to outlets is good at most seating spots, and the natural light makes it an energetic space to hangout in. I like this place!
