Description: Welcome to Vavela Cafe! We are a Turkish style coffee shop located in Charlotte, NC. Our coffee is brewed using the traditional Turkish method, which results in a rich and flavorful cup of coffee. We only use the highest quality beans, and our coffee is always fresh and delicious.

Curator's Comments: One of Charlotte's most beautiful coffee shops. If you've been to Haraz or Qahwah House, it's similar, but in my opinion, better than both, in terms of design, not the coffee. The decor is fully Turkish/Middle Eastern-inspired, with golden accents, vibrant colors, plants scattered throughout, and hanging bookshelves adorning the ceilings on the far ends. The walls are covered with emblems and engravings, there's a spacious patio in addition to a spacious indoor area. There's also a coffee bean tree-looking centerpiece that looks cool. They serve coffee, tea, food, pastries, and some seriously good cheesecake. The two long tables inside offer good access to outlets, but the seating can be awkward. The chairs are tightly packed near the plants, making it difficult to reach your seat without stepping over others unless you're seated at the ends. But there's no way the owners of Haraz, Coffee Origin, and Qahwah House don't know about this place, because they're clearly all competing for the best Middle Eastern-style café in Charlotte. And as far as aesthetics go? I think this one wins.
