Description: A third place in the Charlotte, North Carolina area.

Curator's Comments: The aesthetic is very much "this used to be a factory." Wooden floors, brick walls, and loud and proud patriotism, definitely a great place to hit up on the Fourth of July. They don't have actual cinnamon rolls, but they do have a cinnamon roll-inspired coffee, which some folks (not me) might argue is even better. Most of the seating is at high tables, with a few spots by the window. There's not a ton of indoor seating, but plenty outside, so on warm days that's no issue. Outlet access indoors is excellent. It's right in the heart of downtown Kannapolis, surrounded by cool shops and local attractions. Great date spot. You can walk over to The Spice and Tea Exchange, one of my favorite places in the region for every kind of herbal tea imaginable (I'm a tea person). There's also a ballpark nearby if you're into baseball, or you can just stroll the row of shops outside. A great hangout if you're tired of Charlotte's "everything is new and pristine and nothing feels lived in" aesthetic. Downtown Kannapolis still has that small-town, mom-and-pop charm, and I love that.
