Description: Backyard Brew is a family-owned and operated coffee and tea spot located in a house, in the historic district. We specialize in custom tailoring drinks to each person’s taste and wonderful customer experiences. Seeing you happy, makes us happy! We source and roast all of our ethically grown, organic coffee. We source and blend all of our own teas.

Curator's Comments: If you’ve ever been to Brakeman’s in Matthews this is like that but within the city. It’s literally a home, so cozy, warm, friendly vibes to the max. The walls are covered in handwritten notes from customers over the years and drawings. You could spend a good hour just reading the walls and the stories that go with them. There’s limited parking behind the house but there’s a Harris Teeter across the street you can park at if it’s packed. Great cozy spot for remote work, especially on warm days as you can sit on their porch. And they have cinnamon rolls 🔥. Awesome, locally owned, down-to-earth place.
